I see a face at the window again the sunlight dripping strings of drool there is a place where the ashes turn to rain and flocks of insects rise from the scum and form into clouds and the light that passes through them shoots its arrows of glass and the rainbows make a sign that reads "all of the sand you can cross and all the water. . ." oh I got the spurs blasting in place you can see the hillside falling who would have build so goddamned high gearshift knobs on a yellow John Deere tractor reach and tremble at the sky the lips they inflate and the features crack and blister and I can't hear the knocking at my door as the wind blows it off its hinges and I can see caribou in the street oh I got the spurs flowering plants spring from the cracks in the buildings and the radio is blasting us to sleep there's a man and he's talking about buying the place he works at and someone calls and says they disagree the wind makes its way through the frames of unmade buildings and the water starts to trickle down the hill and it forms into pockets on the liquor store below oh I got the spurs I start to turn, I pick up my bag and utensils there's a lot of salvage work to do lines are forming at the bus stops and in the parking areas and the children are trundled off to school the sky it is blue and imprinted in Helvetica that only a fuckhead could read and the words go by so quickly that the letters turn to drops of rain oh I got the spurs

Take your weapons to the movies in case of accidents you will be stronger you better take your weapons to the station in case anything you better listen (don't even listen) There's an evil we can cope with put some bullets in the production office ceiling there's a sink hole in the evening you better watch your toothpaste and wear your diving boots 'cause it's always Christmas Eve I see it in your graph I see it in your chart these are the last days You're a cause for inquisition Mister Sweetie has got an iron lung and you're a cause for independence this will be my fourth day in july but it's always Christmas Eve I see it in your graph I see it in your chart these are the last days this is the last train home you better take your gun to the movies you better open all of your presents

Dawn is a stranger a stranger is dawn I used to be angry but now I am gone I see your little shoulders on my television it was not so long ago I wrapped myself around them Dawn is a stranger a stranger is dawn trying to look and learn Dawn is a stranger who reaches into my pocket and breaks off a piece of chocolate without asking without asking and her friends all laugh her friends all laugh I am the afternoon and I bury anger in the dirt I used to be angry but now I bury anger in the dirt a bud pokes through and explodes and explodes Dawn is a stranger a stranger is dawn three bloodshot strangers say your are buckshot here I hate talking to you in satellite transmissions and water is squeezed through a grain of rice

about

When the Spaceman valiantly tried to get us onto a major label and it worked for about six months while the Rolling Stones were recording Voodoo Lounge in the next room over but eventually the drugs took their toll and the Rolling Stones could not keep up with us.
