about

this was a live performance of my first symphony cobbled together in 2005 with people from all walks of life, from the top musicians and composers to race car magazine writers, making an orchestra and making it real, raw and exciting - proof that music is more alive when it's open to all. I've written three more symphonies since then but none have been performed and this one has some kind of spirit in it. The full score comes with your download. The drum part is partly improvised in the manner of a typical trap drum kit, from limited notes which are also included with your download. The timpani and marimba are as notated. Two of the musicians, Kyle and Vanessa, have passed on, as has Rod Poole, the great guitarist and composer who recorded the performance for us. This is for all of them.
